With the recent government update Wellington is now in Alert Level 2. We explain what this means for landlords and tenants.

Property inspections
In-person inspections of Wellington rental properties can continue to take place, but only if the tenant allows access. Physical distancing and hygiene measures should be followed. On the day of inspection, our team make sure to check in with the tenants to confirm they are well and have not been sick in the last 14 days, and reassure them the inspector is well and will keep to social distancing throughout the visit. If the tenant is sick we will reschedule.
Property Maintenance
Contractors are still able to visit properties for repairs if the tenant allows access.
Property Viewings
Landlords can continue showing advertised properties, with the tenant's consent, following guidance on physical distancing, hygiene, and contact details are collected of who attends property showings. At property viewings, we also have a QR code prominently displayed at or near the main entrance to encourage people to record their visit too.
The main takeaway for landlords and tenants is to continue being diligent and cautious and, like us, continue to monitor the situation and follow all Government guidance. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call our team, we're more than happy to help.
