As we’re entering the winter market, rents have noticeably stabilised across all property types as many tenants settle in for the coming winter. That’s not to say there’s no tenant movement though.
When comparing today to 26th April 2017, there’s been a 18% increase in Wellington rental property listings advertised on Trade Me, showing slightly more tenant movement this year compared to last.
Roseneath has shown the most change with 180% more properties listed today compared to last year, though Northland follows close behind with a 157% increase.
However as we get deeper into winter we do expect listings to lower significantly as tenant movement declines further.
